O ur life is a movement in relationships, but for most of us our relationship to our intimate ones: family, friends or lovers has been conceptualized to fit a particular social structure, only to make our lives a mere routine and an endless inward struggle. In seeing the gap between the concept and the actuality, a certain truth comes out “The understanding of our relationship to the world begins with the constant learning about one’s relationship to oneself.” Maya has expressed her thoughts and feelings on this matter creating those stunning mixed media on canvas artworks.
